Q&A: Why can’t we eliminate poverty?


In some cases, in somc countries, we have been able to do this with a fair degree of success.

However, at least three potent factors stand in the way of achieving this at a global level: 

1 The enormous complexity involved in the creation and distribution of wealth;

2 The divorce of the science of economics from human values like caring and compassion for individuals: factors which do not enter in any economic theory.

3 Some fundamental and apparently inevitable/irremediable foul-up in the systematization/construction of national and international economic frameworks.
