A new-born child healthy and hale
Is normally either girl of male.
But one feels somewhat sad
Not knowing if one is lass or lad.
No matter how one’s treated in homes
No matter the number of chromosomes
Not all are at ease under
Their categorization of gender.
When inside one is somewhat torn
By the sex with which one is born
Then is one in the area
Known as gender dysphoria.
They too are our sisters, brothers
Worthy humans all the others.
Even if they feel not fully woman or man,
Let’s love and help them the best we can.
