My observation of and interaction with people over many decades hjas led me to the following categorization: .
M = Mind; H = Heart.
M Open; H Closed. Unkind, unsympathetic smartasses.
M Closed; H Open. Well-meaning religious people.
M Closed; H Closed. Foolish and dangerous bigots.
M Open; H Open. Truly enlightened ones.
My suspicion is that both groups: atheists and theists have in their midst all these four types of people.
