Mystery is not the acceptance of ignorance,
nor the abandoning of the quest for understanding.
It is more than the wonder that comes from lack of understanding,
and even from understanding.
It is more than the awe that comes from a feeling of individual insignificance in the vast universe for a brief bracket of time.
It is more than the reverence that comes from a recognition of sacredness in all of Creation.
Mystery is an inner experience in the face of an existence that to all appearances is totally uncalled for, of intractable cause for an emergence that infuses an one with excitement, wonderment and reflection.
Like love and joy, some feel Mystery, some don’t.
Mystery cannot be enforced, it cannot be eradicated.
It is a deeply felt state of our being.
