They are wise who recognize that human knowledge in finite, that we cannot get correct answers to a great many questions that intrigue us, but that by appropriate methods we can know with a fair degree of certainty a good many things.

The wise recognize the spiritual, ethical, and the inspirational values for caring and compassion that is implicit in all religions, respect whatever brings non-hurting religious fulfillment to others, and understand that the religious tenets of one’s own religion are not necessarily universal, and should not be forced on people of other faiths.
