COSMOGENESIS: PER SPECULATIONS

When humans began to think, they began to wonder too

About how we came to be  and why on earth we are.

Some thought it all arose from the waters of the sea,

Some that it was from Fire or Air that all live things came to be.

Then came some inspired sages who introduced the great idea

Of a Grand Creator God who brought forth the World and Man.

These founders of religions great and small  said that we must thank God for that

With chants and hymns and psalms, and worship Him in special places.

This is the least we can do, they felt, to express our sincere Thanks

For the good experiences we all get  at least for a brief span of Time.

Unfortunately, a great  many people  have fought, died and killed 

One another in the name of their God, and the religion of their group..

For my part I simply meditate  on UTOOG: which simply stands for

Unknown Target Of Our Gratitude, for I need to thank someone.
