There are debates about the existence and nature of God, true and false Gods, and how and where God can be seen. Commendable deeds have been done in the name of God: service and charity, compassion and caring. Some horrific deeds, like sectarian persecution and religious wars, stoning of women and dehumanization by caste, have also been perpetrated in the name of God. No matter what sphere of human endeavor: philosophy or music, literature or science, the idea and name of God come in one way or another. This book talks about how God enters different contexts in the various cultures of the human family.
