What’s the difference between a wise person and a foolish one?
A person of wisdom says and does things, keeping always in mind the wellbeing, welfare, and self-respect of other human beings.
A wise person knows that human knowledge is finite and that we cannot know anything about the Grand Mysteries with our finite minds.
One who is not wise not necessarily foolish. An unwise and dangerous person does things, and believes in matters without consideration of their potential negative impacts on fellow humans or on the world.
An unwise, but not so dangerous person thinks that the right answers to all the Grand Mysteries are in the Holy Books of his or her religion; and that the answers to these questions given by other religions are false.
That’s why the wise can be helpful and neutral at best. The unwise can become dangerous and threat to others when they gain physical power of any kind.
