So wrote the Chinese philosopher Confucius in his Analects. (Giles’ Translation).
Whether this is true or not, it is certainly a healthy and positive view of Humanity. In truth, however, the human heart, like a fresh notebook, starts with a blank page. A lot depends on what is written on the pages to influence particular humans.
Ultimately, all we can say is that every newborn hear if capable of love and hate, peace and violence, charity and selfishness.
Blessed are those who come under healthy, constructive, and positive guidance.
One may use less poetic terms like fortunate and lucky instead of blessed.
